Filarc (ESAB)

Filarc is the ESAB brand of filler metals specialized in welding solutions for demanding sectors such as naval, offshore, automotive, and construction. It offers electrodes and wires with high mechanical performance and international certifications.

Product lines

• SMAW Filarc 88S Electrodes: low-hydrogen coated, alloyed with ≈1% Ni, designed for welding difficult positions in S460 steels and similar, with toughness at –60°C. Certified ABS, CE, DNV, LR, VdTÜV.
• Filarc 76S Electrodes (E7018-G): low hydrogen, CVN/CTOD tested down to –60°C, ideal for offshore fabrication.
• FCAW Filarc PZ6111HS Wires: high-deposition rutile, suitable for high-speed welding with C1 or M21 gas.
• TIG Filarc PZ6500 Wires (ER70S‑6): copper-coated aluminum, for general steel, with yield strength ≥450 MPa and CE/EN certification.
