Latest technology design for maximum productivity
Tooth design – The variable design of 4⁄6 teeth per inch with a positive angle of 10° offers the following advantages: Faster and more aggressive cutting. Improved heat dissipation during cutting ensures that the teeth remain sharp longer. Deeper and curved gullets allow for better evacuation and prevent clogging and overheating. The specially shaped tooth angle tends to snag less on thin materials. The teeth are arranged alternately to minimize jamming and friction. Requires less feed pressure – This is achieved thanks to the combination of the aggressive tooth geometry and good chip evacuation, allowing less force to be applied during drilling
Tooth material – Premium Matrix II high-speed steel is used in the toothed area of the hole saw. Matrix II steel contains 8% cobalt, which allows the tooth to maintain its original hardness, even at high temperatures when working on metal. Bimetal construction – High-speed steel teeth laser welded onto a steel alloy body. The teeth are then vacuum tempered to a hardness of 65HRC, at a temperature of 600°C, to achieve maximum durability. Due to the high wear resistance of Matrix II steel, these hole saws are ideal for tough jobs on stainless steel and acid-resistant steels, as well as softer materials like wood
Crown body – The steel body has a thickness of 1.27mm and is rigid to maintain its shape, but also has some elasticity. Effective cutting depth of 41mm
Support design – The rear supports are constructed with thick steel, so the crowns will not vary over time. These plates add strength and rigidity to minimize vibrations. Four mounting holes for easier spindle positioning. The back plates are perfectly round for good concentricity, an especially important factor for larger diameter hole saws
Diagonal slots help remove material debris
Applications – High-quality manufacturing techniques ensure high rotational accuracy, making these crowns suitable for use with both hand drills and column drills (manual feed only)
The range of high-quality crowns is the perfect solution for cutting all types of materials: – Steel with a strength of up to 1000N/mm² – Stainless steel and acid-resistant steel – Non-ferrous metals – Cast iron – Aluminum – Wood – Medium density fiberboard (MDF) – Plasterboard – Sandwich-type materials – PVC
