The OK Flux 10.71 is an agglomerated flux, slightly alloyed in Si and Mn, for submerged arc welding (SAW), specially designed for fillet and butt joints in one or multiple passes of mild to high strength steels. The OK Flux 10.71 is a basic aluminate type flux that produces a slag capable of conducting very high currents in both alternating and direct current and offers very good operability with both single and multiple wires. The OK Flux 10.71 produces weld metals with low oxygen content, offering excellent impact resistance down to -40°C. The OK Flux 10.71 is suitable for narrow gap welding due to the excellent slag detachability and smooth wetting of the bead with the joint walls.
