Our hard rubber supports provide firm and consistent support for 3M fiber discs on right angle grinders and other sanding and grinding tools. They are compatible with a large number of 3M faceplates, just choose the ideal density for your task. The pads fit with the vulcanized fiber backing on the abrasive disc, helping it conform to the surface for a consistent finish during grinding or sanding. They reduce vibrations and shocks that degrade the discs and help ensure that the ceramic mineral abrasive on the fiber disc self-fractures as designed, rather than breaking into unusual pieces. Our support with a 7/8″ diameter center hole attaches firmly to grinding and sanding machines using the disc retainer nut*.
